At Walnut Equestrian Centre we provide tuition for all abilities ranging from novice to advanced.
Private lessons in Showjumping, Cross-Country and Dressage are available. Ken Alexander-Jones, experienced dressage rider and trainer, is based at the yard and is available for training sessions from Novice to Advanced.
Ken has trained with Carl Hester, and competed at championships at advanced medium level.
We also proceed training for both the theory based 'Horse care' and practical 'Riding' elements of B.H.S. Stages 1, 2 and 3.
One hour group lessons, half hour lead rein lessons, half hour and fourty five minute private lessons are available on Saturdays and Sundays and private lessons are available from Tuesday to Friday.
Training also available on own horse at or away from WEC.
Dressage Clinics are now available at WEC, these 45 minute shared sessions (2 riders per session) will focus on a number of test riding techniques as well as catering to the individual rider/horse combination: everything you need to know to make your competition a success! Everyone welcome - unaffiliated/affiliated; Novice – Advanced. £15 per rider per session, £10 per rider per session for WEC onloaners. Please apply by emailing/telephoning Jane.

At Walnut Equestrian Centre, we run 3 day Courses for our Pony Club Centre members. These courses take place in the school holidays and enable the members to work towards achieving their Pony Club badges in both Stable Management and Riding.
The courses are run in conjunction with the Pony Club Center Camps held at Walnut Equestrian Centre, which are available for both junior and senior members. These camps are arranged and conducted in accordance with BHS Stage 1.
Tailored Stable Management courses for adults are available on request.
Riding and horsemanship will be included on all courses and camps with
those who are members of The Pony Club working towards badges and
*April 3rd-4th course will be working towards Lunging equipment and Riding on the lunge badges. If anyone is interested please get in touch.
